Welcome to my pottery studio, where each piece is crafted with love and inspired by the natural world. My botanical cauldron mugs and tea sets, adorned with crystals and copper accents, infuse daily rituals with a touch of magic. Whether savoring morning coffee or curling up with a soothing cup of tea at night, a sacred vessel turns these moments into a sacred ceremony. Each sip becomes a ritual, a moment of quiet reflection imbued with the warmth and charm of handmade artistry.
Copper Inlay Pottery
Copper has long been celebrated for its purported healing properties, spanning ancient civilizations to modern holistic practices. Beyond its physical benefits, copper is revered for its metaphysical properties, believed to enhance energy flow and amplify intentions. Whether worn as jewelry or incorporated into daily life through copper-infused products, many embrace its potential to harmonize mind, body, and spirit, fostering a holistic approach to healing. My pieces feature a copper lustre with dissolved metal as its essential component.

Each piece is also joined with powerful gemstones and crystals. I most often use quartz, but I also often use amethyst, moonstone, and labradorite. My quartz crystals are mainly sourced from the rock hounds themselves, from US sources. Every mug and teapot is fully unique in its way -- an artistic collaboration between me and the earth.

My pieces are a practice to deepen my connection to the plants (and occasionally creatures). They are my allies and friends.

Clay itself, sourced directly from the earth, embodies a profound connection to my spirituality. Its tactile nature evokes a sense of grounding, while its malleability symbolizes the transformative power of creation. Crafting with clay fosters a deep communion with the natural world, bridging the gap between humanity and the earth's ancient wisdom. Potters are animists, whether they realize it or not. Most acknowledge the undeniable reality of the kiln gods, and many even have altars or shrines near the kiln.
Kam
ceramicist, mother, ritualist, witch
Sown in the Rocky Mountains, sprouted in the Pacific Northwest, and blossomed in Appalachia. Her branches reach both coasts of the US, and her roots drink from the British Isles. She comes from a long line of Makers and craftspeople, stonemasons and Mormon quilters.

Mother of a 4-year old nature sprite, she lives in an intentional community in Western North Carolina where she leads community gatherings to mark the Wheel of the Year.

This project was brought to life by Suzanne, a artist and friend who supported and radically believed in me. I inherited her pottery studio when she died, and taught myself the craft. It continues in memory of her with life and vigor in the wake of her passing. May everything crafted by my hands become a prayer to her memory. To my ancestors, the nonhuman creatures I love, and the earth under my feet.
