Sown in the Rocky Mountains, sprouted in the Pacific Northwest, and blossomed in Appalachia. Her branches reach both coasts of the US, and her roots live in the British Isles. She comes from a long line of Makers and craftspeople, stonemasons and Mormon quilters.
Copper Wilds is a three-dimensional love letter to the wild world.
This project was brought to life by a woman who supported and radically believed in me. It continues in memory of her with new life and vigor in the wake of her passing. May everything crafted by my hands become a prayer. To my ancestors, the nonhuman creatures I love, and the earth under my feet.
